Locating your activation key in Uplay If you’re ever asked for an activation key or activation code during your game session, you should be able to locate your key within the Uplay application. To find the key for the main game:. Select the Games tab in Uplay. Can't play, requires uplay activation code which i don't have i bought the game on steam and when i want to play, it asks me for uplay activation key. There can be three different reasons for being asked to enter the Steam activation key into Uplay:. You haven't activated your Steam game on Uplay yet. You are logged into a different Ubisoft account than the one the game is activated on. You are running an outdated version of Uplay.

If you are ever asked for an activation key or activation code during your game session, you should be able to locate your key within the Ubisoft Connect Desktop App.
To find the key for the main game:
• Choose the Games tab.
• Select the game tile.
• On the left hand side under Play or Download, choose Show key.
You will now be shown the key to activate the main game.
If you select Copy you can paste the key in when prompted.
To find any additional keys:
• Choose your account name in the top right hand corner of the application.
• Inside your Account Information page, pick My Games.
